Johanna Steinz

Picture
Johanna Steinz, a native of Germany, moved to Charlotte with her husband and son from North Rhine-Westphalia in 2011. Johanna started her professional career by earning a degree as a teacher for physical education and later followed the footsteps of her father and grandfather by joining the more than 65-year-old family owned heating and plumbing business. Later Johanna followed her passion for interior design and took her career to the next level. For more than 20 years she designed kitchens, bathrooms as well as spas and managed a design studio in Düsseldorf, Germany.
During her time in Charlotte, Johanna got involved with the docent program of the Mint Museum and found her own way of creative expression. She met Klaus Becker in 2015 and became a Board Member of the N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation shortly thereafter. Since 2016, Johanna has organized the artists’ tours of
TEASE– Transatlantic Exhibition of Art in the Southeast.

In 2022 she is curating the tour for the third time.
